We are all set for the next Salamanca Tech event to be held on 27 October. This time its focus will be on the field of quantum technology, which is undergoing significant growth. Attendance is free of charge and you can register by following this link

Quantum Technology“, which is based on the principles of quantum mechanics, is the theme of the upcoming Salamanca Tech event, at which top experts will gather. The event will start at 10 am, at the Air Institute’s headquarters (Santiago Madrigal, 39, Ave). As President of the AIR Institute and Director of the BISITE Research Group of the University of Salamanca, I will have the honor of welcoming the attendees to this enriching conference, whose central activity will be a round table discussion on quantum technology.

Vicente Matellán Olivera, General Director of the Castilla y León Supercomputing Center Foundation (SCAYLE); Juan Ignacio Benito Fiz, RPA and Data Manager at NTT Data; Kevin Corella, centers service leader for the Development of AI Projects/Services & Quantum Machine Learning; Javier Parra Domínguez, coordinator of Quantum Economics & Technology Experience Lab and Professor at the University of Salamanca; and Javier Prieto Tejedor, Professor at the University of Salamanca, will present their different points of view. In addition, Guillermo Rivas Oliveros, from AIR Institute, will give a presentation on quantum technology applied to finance.

The conference, organized by the AIR Institute and BISITE, with the collaboration of the Salamanca Town Council, will provide an opportunity to learn about the latest advances in quantum computing, cryptography and communication and discover how quantum technology is transforming industries and shaping the future.

This event is part of a series of conferences that have been organized in the last five months under the title “Salamanca Tech” dedicated to digital industry and smart tourism, technological innovation in the primary sector, and the aeronautical industry as an engine for technological development. Through these activities, we get a better understanding of the different technological perspectives and their potential for the future, contributing to a greater and better knowledge on the part of the society at large.
