Salamanca Tech presented at the 7th EC2U Forum in Poitiers

The Councilor for Institutional Relations of Salamanca Town Council, Carmen Seguín, presented the Salamanca Tech brand today in the French city of Poitiers as part of the 7th EC2U Forum, which brought together more than two hundred representatives from seven universities which are part of the European Campus EC2U.

Seguín underscored in her presentation that Salamanca "is becoming a technological pole of reference in southwestern Europe". In this long-distance race, the Salamanca Tech brand acts as a spearhead to diversify the production model and create quality jobs. The Councillor recalled that this brand "is based on a series of infrastructures specialized in the transfer of R&D for the production sector, with the capacity to promote the development of new companies and improve the competitiveness of those already in operation". In this area, the universities of Salamanca play a fundamental role, and Salamanca Tech works with them side by side to foster the growth of the knowledge industry in the town.

The Councilor for Institutional Relations traveled to Poitiers with a delegation from the University of Salamanca consisting of some thirty professors, students, and administrative staff, led by the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Raúl Sánchez, and the Vice-Rector for Research, José Miguel Mateos Roco.

Seguín has highlighted the commitment of the Salamanca Town Council to ensuring that EC2U grows increasingly stronger. This alliance offers students multidisciplinary training in response to contemporary social challenges, in addition to providing a new space to researchers from the allied universities, where they can develop innovative research projects.
