The Technology Centers of Castilla y León hold an innovation conference on natural and cultural heritage

The AIR Institute has hosted the conference of the technical staff of the Cartif, Cesefor and Itagra Technology Centers. A meeting that marks a milestone in the integration of technology in the area of natural and cultural heritage.

The representatives of the different centers have toured the facilities of the AIR Institute, where we have been able to show the technological developments that we are carrying out, among other activities, for the promotion of cultural and natural heritage.

In this context, we moved on to learn about the Natural and Cultural Heritage strategy of the Junta de Castilla y León in RIS3. The General Directorate of Heritage highlighted its objective of advancing towards the "digital management of heritage" to "create a sector" with which to enhance the value of heritage and generate economic activity, providing a key strategic context for the conservation and promotion of heritage through innovation.

The conference continued with interactive sessions on Generative AI and its ability to revolutionize our approach to heritage. The group discussion generated fresh ideas and novel approaches, highlighting the potential of technology to preserve and enrich our cultural heritage.

Our colleagues Javier Curto and Guillermo Rivas presented Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Computing for heritage to the attendees, opening new doors to future projects and promising collaborations. They have pointed to how innovation can be the bridge to a future that is more connected to our past.

This meeting helped to highlight the crucial role of innovation in the preservation and revitalization of our cultural heritage. In addition, it brought up possible synergies and valuable ideas for the benefit of our environment.
