AIR Institute and ICE organise training on AI and cybersecurity for startups and SMEs

The Institute for Business Competitiveness of Castilla y León (ICE), in collaboration with Air Institute, is organising a conference on "Technological training for startups and SMEs: artificial intelligence and cybersecurity for your company", within the framework of the Centr@tec programme. On 7 and 8 March, the presentation room of the R&D&I Building at the University of Salamanca will host entrepreneurs and businesspeople interested in learning more about these technologies.

The event consists in a two-day training aimed at SMEs and startups, interested in expanding their knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI), and in learning how they can transform their business with the application of this technology. The attendees will also be able to take part in cybersecurity training on the topic of the protection of their company's digital assets and environments. The aim is to enable them to learn about the most appropriate measures that can be used by both employees and companies in these new environments.

On the first day of the event, the attendees will explore practical examples and use cases so as to see first-hand the situations they may encounter on a day-to-day basis. Experts will introduce the attendees to the main trends in Artificial Intelligence, in Generative AI, as well as the applications and advantages of this technology for SMEs and companies.

The second day will be geared towards the topic of cybersecurity, and it will be explained how artificial intelligence (AI) is being used by both cybercriminals and cybersecurity professionals. The different uses of AI in detecting and preventing cyber threats will be explored, such as identifying patterns of malicious activity, analysing large datasets to detect anomalies, and automating responses to security incidents. Companies will learn about the best tools available for protecting their data and about the legal considerations in this field. Overall, the training will help them to gain a greater awareness of corporate cybersecurity.

Finally, job opportunities in the field of cybersecurity will be explored, as well as the most in-demand skills and certifications with the best job opportunities.
