Connecting ideas to shape the future: boosting innovation in Salamanca
The next day of the Salamanca Tech initiative, promoted by the Salamanca City Council and the University of Salamanca, through the AIR Institute, will be held under the slogan "Connecting Ideas to Shape the Future", an event focused on new technologies and entrepreneurship, which promises to be a catalyst for emerging talent and business development in Salamanca.
The main objective of the event is to promote new technologies and entrepreneurship in order to transform Salamanca into a true innovation HUB. With the participation of prominent leaders from academia, business and technology, this event aims to inspire, educate and connect university students with the opportunities of the digital and business world. The Pontificia University of Salamanca will host this edition of Salamanca Tech on 7 March from 12:15 to 13:30, in order to offer its students the opportunity to learn first-hand about the experiences of local entrepreneurs and their vision of the current business landscape, as well as the opportunities for new technology-based companies.
New technologies and entrepreneurship
The agenda is packed with enriching activities. The conference will begin with a warm welcome by the Mayor of Salamanca, Carlos Manuel García Carbayo; the Rector of the Pontificia University of Salamanca, Santiago García-Jalón de la Lama; and the Professor of Artificial Intelligence at the University of Salamanca, Juan Manuel Corchado Rodríguez.
This will be followed by a roundtable on technologies and entrepreneurship, moderated by the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science at the Pontificia University of Salamanca, Encarna Beato Gutiérrez. The roundtable will be attended by leading professionals in the sector, including Santiago González Izard, Director of ARSOFT; María de Miguel Hernández, Manager of Account Management at Undanet; Fernando Galindo Rubio, Professor at the Pontificia University of Salamanca; and Beatriz García Miguélez, Vice-President of the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Salamanca.
